Summer has come!

SUMMER IS FINALLY HERE!

I unintentionally abandoned this blog for a month... I ended up forgetting my laptop password, and because of that, I'm blogging from another computer at the moment until I get back into my laptop (╥﹏╥) Once I get back into it, I'll make sure to write down my password next time! I forget things so easily...

Other than that important update, I recently went to LA's largest thrift store, and got some new clothes! >w< my wardrobe is expanding more and more!

New PJs ^o^

 So perfect for manba!!

I also wanted to get some cds and some other antiques, but I spent well over 70 dollars already, and the only cds the store had were obscure 60s/80s artists lol. I also went to the park that day ^^ I love how pretty it is during the summer. I fed the sweet ducks while I was there too. They are SOO CUTEE!!

I always love taking pictures of the animals <3

Me pics :P

So far, my summer has been great ^o^ I'm mostly looking forward to my 18th birthday (which in in 14 days :o) and hanging out with friends more.

That's what's been happening in my life lately :P I'll hopefully get back into my laptop soon...

Goodbye High School!!!

This entry has been a draft since may (ᵕ—ᴗ—)

I finally graduated!! I'm no longer in school (prison)!!!

I'm currently blogging this on the 12 of June, but this entry has been a draft since the 26th, the day I graduated! I have just been relishing in my freedom since then, and I've been enjoying employment as well!

But any who, going back to the day I graduated, It was pretty hectic at first. Everyone in my family were rushing to get ready for my ceremony, especially me. I didn't do a lot though. Just a bit of concealer, eyeliner, lip balm, and I styled my hair and wore my super cute formal dress with my favorite cardigan ^^

I also wore my class ring and my charm bracelet on my other hand :3

After getting ready, my family and I headed out to the location of the graduation ceremony, which was very far (2 hours or so). I fell asleep during the ride there. When we got there, I was super anxious honestly. There was a ton of people and I also had to navigate the place, luckily with the help of the kind staff. I was quiet the whole time, aside from minimal small talk with the other students and some of the staff. Before I and the other students walked across the stage to get out diplomas and such, there were a few speeches people wanted to give. That was about an hour and thirty minutes lol. I guess one cool thing about that was the fact that Kensington Tallman, the voice of riley in inside out two, was a guest there! She went to and graduated from the same school as us (the students), so that was interesting and pretty random! She gave an inspirational speech related to the theme for this year, which was 'Rising Voices.'

After her speech a few more people delivered some speeches, and then, the students began to be honored for being valedictorians, in honors, cte (career and technical education) completion, etc. We were called out and asked to stand according to our achievements and cord colors. I had a blue cord for my cte completion and a white cord for honors. I made a little mishap during this part and I was so embarrassed for a while until I realized lots of other students made mistakes during the whole ceremony as well, so I calmed down and let it go after a while. After being honored for our achievements, it was time to walk across the stage and receive our diplomas. As we walked across the stage, out plans after high school were also read out to the audience (our family, teachers, etc). Lots of the students parents, including mine, were cheering them on very loudly, and some even had props of their kids lol. That was pretty wholesome to see, but I was startled when my family cheered me on as I walked across the stage since I didn't realize they were in the audience at first.

After we walked the stage and got our diplomas, we took pictures backstage. Then afterwards, the staff, counselors, and teachers said a few more words, then the ceremony finally ended. Music started playing and some students threw their caps in the air... That was really awkward... We all then left in lines and navigated outside of the theater. We were given graduation cookies as we left haha. It looked nice but it tasted bad honestly.

gave this to my brother to eat instead xD

Once I got outside, my family and my teacher of 10 years greeted me. My teacher also gave me some money and I video called my other family members who couldn't be at my graduation physically. I also took additional pictures with my family at the ceremony as well. There were some classmates I recognized, but I was too scared and anxious to say anything to them XD. There was also this boy with my dream piercings there. I envied him so much... After the ceremony, my teacher, family, and I, headed over to grab a cake and cupcakes for the occasion. I got my favorite, lemon cake. I also got a little graduation bear there too ^^

Pic of me with the bear lol

After grabbing the confectionaries, I said goodbye to my teacher, and my family and I headed back to LA, where we would have an amazing evening dinner at one of my favorite restaurants.

  Mirror Pics ♥︎

After dinner, we headed back home. We ended up eating the cake and cupcakes the next day since we were so full from the dinner, and tired from the day. I also ended up getting lots of gifts from my mom as well!

All of the graduation gifts I got (A plush puppy, bear, pillow, balloons, and some additional jewelry not pictured here). I've bundled everything up and I'm keeping everything as a time capsule :)

My themed lemon cake ^^

My mom really prolonged celebrating my graduation afterward. A few days later, she bought two batches of crumbl cookies (very overrated tbh), and I also got sprayed with silly string as a surprise while consuming the cookies lol. Then, that was it! It took me about a week to really process everything haha. I'm happy to be out of school for the time being. I'm now on a very long break. I'm taking a gap year, maybe even two honestly. I want to enjoy these years while I'm still young, as they are precious, and I can't get them back.

After my break, I'm off to beauty school, then I'm going to get my license! But for now, I'm just focused on enjoying life, having fun, and being the best person I can be!

Mall, park, and other stuff

Yesterday, I went to the mall and stopped by at Claire's, Spencers, Macys, and Target. I ended up getting a few things from Claire's, and my graduation dress/shoes from Macys. I got the cutest polka dot dress with some adorable Mary Janes. I also got some junk from Target xD. Today, I went to the park, swung for most of the time, and fed the adorable ducks there some crackers! They stunk so bad, but they're very sweet. I also got a huge graduation gift as well + some money from relatives

Stuff I got from Claire's

Accessories and a palm pal

I unfortunately wasn't able to see Michael again... But, I WILL be seated for the sequel though, and I'm getting the movie as soon as it's out on dvd and digital! I'm glad I got to see it on opening day at least! I still have my ticket stub lol. I'll probably do a full review of the movie once I watch it a few more times when it comes out digitally.

My graduation ceremony is next week, which means that this week is my last week for high school, forever! I'm very happy to be done with school. I've grown tired of being a student. Now, I can focus on my job and having more fun! I hope to plan a few hangouts in June ^0^

This week, I'm completely focusing on completing school and making sure all my work is turned in! As always, will blog when interesting stuff occurs!

More Pics

An old one :P
(P.S. My entries have been shorter lately, mostly because I'm not really on my computer/blogger 90% of the time, and because I have been pretty busy. I think my entries will be longer again once summer is here ^_^)

✿ May ! o(≧∀≦)o ❀

Summer is almost here!

I'm so close to finishing school. Graduation is also around the corner!

I finally finished my final cosmetology course a few days ago, and I have a few classes left! I no longer feel nervous about graduating or becoming 18 anymore honestly. I'm so excited to finally have legal autonomy over myself, no more school, and more freedom overall.

After I graduate, I'm planning to get in touch with one of my old friends again. It's been a long time since we last talked or hung out, mainly because she has a full time job and has more adult responsibilities. I wonder what she'll think about me now. I've changed a lot since the last time we hung out (4 years ago...). I reached out to her yesterday and now I'm just waiting to see what she'll say. I'm pretty anxious...

Other than that, my 18th birthday is coming up, on the 27th of June! 14 year old me would be having a panic attack right now. Honestly, the fear around turning 18 is a bit overdramatic. I do understand it though. I was scared to become 17 as a 15 year old, but really, other than getting an id, driver's license, a job, and a few other important adulting responsibilities (and moving out if you plan on doing so), nothing really changes. I feel like life will become more serious when you hit 20.

I'm also getting paid this week, and I've, interestingly, been really into Japanese ska pop punk lately, mostly just Muramasa though lol. I wish they stayed together longer... Their music is pretty addictive and memorable ^_^ Oh and I pimped out my keitai with a bunch of keychains!

I want to put some stickers on it soon!

Any who, I'll blog if anything else interesting happens in my life (─ ‿ ─)

Michael Mania! (slight/minimal spoilers)

Michael, Michael, Michael!

Its been a little while since I've written, mostly because I've been focused on completing school. I've also been offline more. But now, I have time to write!! I had so much fun today!!!

Firstly, I completed my Michael trunk and my beat it piano shirt a few days ago!! I mentioned those things previously, and now they're done. I was so happy to see both items finished after working on them for a while.

Younger eras

Mature eras

My beat it shirt ♥︎

Then today, I finally saw Michael!!! I watched "The Jacksons, an American Dream," and "Captain EO" 24 hours before. I strongly recommend watching both.

Before actually going to the theater, I had to do some things. I first went with my mother to open up my first bank account, which was pretty nerve-wracking... then, I spent an hour at a nearby park since I still had 2 hours before the movie started. After spending some time in the park, I got some lunch, then my mom dropped me off at the mall where the movie theater was. I went into Claires and looked around at all of the cute things they had.

My outfit + trunk. I love the little mirrors in Claires ^^

After Claires, I headed straight for the theater, got my ticket, and my snacks, then, I went into the assigned auditorium where the movie was showing, and there was like 2 other people there since I was a bit early. There was no way I was going to miss any second of this movie. After about 15 minutes, people started coming in, and ads/trailers ran for a bit. Most of the audience were elderly, and some of them even had the privilege of being present at a few of the Victory tour dates back in 1984! I was so jealous...

Some of the older folks asked if I could read their tickets for them a few times. I forgot that your eyesight strength decreases with age :P but I was happy to help them! Other than the older folks, there were of course fans like me who dressed up as him from thrad (thriller and bad) era, and some families. The energy and environment was very friendly and warm, and I loved hearing some of the audience talk about their memories of being fans way back in the 60s, 70s, etc.

After the ads and trailers, the movie began. I spent the next 2 hours in awe. I am still processing everything, but all I can say right now is that I LOVED IT!!! I give a 10/10 in terms of entertainment overall!! There many things that I liked, and some things I didn't like ofc, but the movie was really enjoyable in general!! The main things I didn't like include the quick pacing from era to era and from childhood to adulthood and timeskips, the overall sanitization of MJ's life and John Branca (this movie was worked on by the mj estate/Branca himself, and its a Hollywood production, not a documentary, so im not too surprised about that since not all things are gonna be accurate.) among other things. I feel like the movie tried to get through Michael's early years and career too quickly, missing many important parts, details, and people in his early career. I also do not like how the movie makes John Branca look like a saint who actually cared about Michael lmao.

One thing I admire about the movie is how it did not sugarcoat how abusive and strict Joe Jackson was, even though the scenes themselves broke my heart :( The movie straight up showed little Michael enduring the abuse from Joe a few times, which caught me off guard a bit. It's important that the movie didn't sugarcoat Joe's abuse, as it is a very crucial aspect of Michael's childhood and upbringing, and one major explanation as to why he felt that he never truly grew up inside, and why he wanted to relive his childhood later in life. Another thing I liked is how the movie showed Michael's affectionate relationship with his pets, especially Louie the llama, and Bubbles the Chimp. Bubbles was so stinkin' cute. He was animated so adorably and perfectly.

The audience didn't disappoint either. There was so much enthusiasm and energy in the auditorium! I loved everything about this experience, and its definitely the most exciting and joyful movie theater experience i've ever had. I only regret not staying until the very end after the credits, and taking more pictures! I was also pretty sad when I realized that the theater I went to didn't have any of the movie merch there, or even a movie poster or ANY sort of promo material (Cinemark, lock in pls...)

Some pics I snapped ^^

After the movie, my mom picked me up, and I headed home. I don't think I'm gonna get much sleep tonight, because of the amount of adrenaline I'm running off of at the moment xD. I'm also going on another Michael marathon. I can't stop thinking about the movie. I (and plenty of other fans) have waited 3 years for this, followed this film ever since it was announced, and after all of the promo, the anticipation, and waiting, the delays, and the leaks, it's actually here, and I got to see it. I can't believe it!

I've never been this passionate about a movie, ever. This movie is different. It's the closest thing the I and the younger generations will ever get to feeling and seeing the magic of Michael. It didn't even feel like a movie when I was watching it. I felt like I was in another world. I was really taking everything in, and I felt the energy of it all as well. Jaafar Jackson, Coleman Domingo, and the rest of the cast did so amazing in their roles!! I really would love to see the movie again in may!!! I'm pretty sure I'll cry next time too lol but I am definitely seeing it in IMAX and taking more pictures for memories!! I feel like I need to see the movie at least twice to conduct a proper review/rating for it, because then, I can focus more on details and such the second time I see it.

Michael and his music has been a part of my life for a long time, and him and his artistry really speaks to my soul. This movie did a pretty good job at portraying him for the most part! and I can't wait for the second movie in 2029-30! I'm not looking forward to when it reaches 2009 & the allegations (lies) though... I can't wait for it to come out digitally as well!

Seriously, if you have the money and time, go see Michael! Even if you aren't a fan! It summarizes Michael's early life just enough for locals (non-fans)/the general public to digest, and it'll allow you to understand his upbringing on a basic level, and some of personal struggles too. It's also extremely enjoyable and humorous in some scenes.  Also fuck the critics, they're just bitter bc mj is being talked about and portrayed positively, and that goes against their agenda and smear campaign. This movie is awesome sauce go watch it.

Until next time!

(P.S. Ignore all the typos and mistakes I make sometimes!! I type super fast when I'm in a good mood or happy ^^ Also idk where I got the idea that the 2nd movie was coming out next year, but it's actually predicted to come out in 2029 and later lmao. Entry has been edited!)
